 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

"...And so ladies and gentlemen, I conclude my remarks tonight
with faith, joy and excitement.
From this day forward, may a new song be heard.
Let that new song be the sound of children laughing.
Let that new song be the sound of children playing.
Let that new song be the sound of children singing.
And let that new song be the sound of parents listening.
Together, let us create a symphony of hearts, marvelling at the miracle of our children and basking in the beauty of love.
Let us heal the world and blight its pain.
And may we all make beautiful music together.
God bless you, and I love you."

Monday again! Gee! last week seemed to have gone real quick (or at least my weekend, where did it go?!) ... anyway, think it would be another week of 'randomness' again...

And here's something to help start positively, hopefully :) ...

Just For A Smile :)

Thought For The Day - Inner Strength

If you can start the day without caffeine.

If you can get going without pep pills.

If you can always be cheerful ignoring aches and pains.

If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles.

If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it.

If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time.

If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you when though no fault of yours  something goes wrong.

If you can take criticism and blame without resentment.

If you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him.

If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend.

If you can face the world without lies and deceit.

If you can conquer tension without medical help.

If you can relax without liquor.

If you can sleep without the aid of drugs.

.....Then you are probably the family dog!

This Week's Theme: "Whatever Happens", I mean "GOING RANDOM" Again!

Life Lesson Poem: It's Fine Today

Sure, this world is full of trouble

I ain't said it ain't.

Lord, I've had enough and double
Reason for complaint;
Rain and storm have come to fret me,
Skies are often gray;
Iloms and brambles have beset me
On the road-but say,
Ain't it fine today?

What's the use of always weepin',
Making trouble last?
What's the use of always keepin'
Thinkin' of the past?
Each must have his tribulation-
Water with his wine;
Life, it ain't no celebration,
Trouble?-I've had mine-
But today is fine!

It's today that I am livin',
Not a month ago.
Havin'; losin'; takin'; givin';
As time wills it so.
Yesterday a cloud of sorrow
Fell across the way,
It may rain again tomorrow,
It may rain-but say,
Ain't it fine today?

I just found this beautiful inspirational piece from another site, and hope it could bring some blessings and enlightenment to whoever comes across with it...

The Parable of the Rose

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns?"
Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and before it was ready to bloom, it died.
So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The Godlike qualities planted in us at birth growing amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects. We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.
Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns and find the rose within others.
This is the characteristic of love - to look at a person and know their true faults. Accepting that person into your life, while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help them to realize that they can overcome their faults. If we show them the rose, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

      What Life is About

Life isn't about keeping score.
It's not about how many friends you have
Or how accepted you are.
Not about if you have plans this weekend or if you're alone.

It isn't about who you have kissed,
It isn't about who your family is or
how much money they have
Or what kind of car you drive. Or where you are sent to school.
It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are.
Or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on,
Or what kind of music you listen to.
It's not about if your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown,
Or if your skin is too light or too dark.
Not about what grades you get how smart you are, how smart
everybody else thinks you are, or how smart
standardized tests say you are.
Life just isn't.

Life is about who you love and who you hurt.
It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposely.
It's about keeping or betraying trust.
It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or as a weapon.
It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening.
It's about starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip.
It's about what judgments you pass and why.
And who your judgments are spread to.
It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention.
It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge.
It's about carrying inner hate and love,

letting it grow and spreading it.

But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison

other people's hearts in such a way that could have

never occurred alone.

Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those

choices are what life's all about.

Today let this rainbow remind your friends and family

of what life is really all about.

Father We Thank Thee

by Ralph Waldo Emerson

For flowers that bloom about our feet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For tender grass so fresh, so sweet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For the song of bird and hum of bee,
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.
For blue of stream and blue of sky,
Father, we thank Thee.
For pleasant shade of branches high,
Father, we thank Thee.
For fragrant air and cooling breeze,
For beauty of the blooming trees,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.
For this new morning with its light,
Father, we thank Thee.
For rest and shelter of the night,
Father, we thank Thee
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.

This Week's  Theme:  BE INSPIRED!

A GLORIOUS RECIPE
FOR THE SOUL

Fold two hands together,
And express a dash of sorrow;
Marinate it overnight,
And work on it tomorrow.

Chop one grudge in tiny pieces
Add several cups of love,
Dredge with a large-sized smile,
Mix in ingredients from above.

Dissolve the hate within you,
By doing a good deed;
Cut in and help your friend,
If he or she should be in need.

Stir in laughter, love and thankfulness,
From the heart it has to come;
Toss with genuine kindness, then
share with folks who may need some.

The amount of people served,
Will all depend on you ...
This recipe can feed an entire world,
If you really want it to!

This Week's  Theme: BE INSPIRED!

TWENTY WORDS TO THE WISE

1.  God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
2.  Dear God: I have a problem. Sometimes, it's me.
3.  Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
4.  There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
5.  Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
6.  Do the math. Count your blessings.
7.  Faith is the ability to not panic.
8.  Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.
9.  If we worry, we probably didn't pray. If we pray, we probably don't worry.
10.  As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home every day.
11.   Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
12.   The most important things in our homes are the people.
13.   When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knots for us.
14.  A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15.  He who dies with the most toys is still dead. And who knows where he has gone?
16.  We do not remember days, but moments. Life moves too fast, so enjoy your precious moments.
17.  Nothing is real to you until we experience it, otherwise it's just hearsay.
18.  It's all right to sit on our "pity pot" every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you are done.
19.  Surviving and living our life successfully requires courage. The goals and dreams we seek require courage and risk-taking. Learn from the turtle -- it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.
20.  Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

AND FOR A TRULY  INCREDIBLE INSPIRATION :)

Monday, September 20, 2010

Monday again! Think I'd stick with the 'randomness' theme :)
So let's start this week positively, and hopefully, despite of whatever circumstances we may encounter, we remain calm, motivated and cheerful, today and everyday... (wish I can ^.^)

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE

We all want happiness and dread the thought of rain.
When the sun fails to shine, we worry and complain.
We forget that God above is infinitely wise,
and sometimes our ails are blessings in disguise.
For if we're always happy filled with sunshine and cheer,
our hearts would hold no mercy for others who shed tears.
So when trouble comes knocking, remember to stay strong.
Rainbows always follow the storm and dark clouds never stay long.

And here's to help keep us on the positive track :)

oh yummy!
